Where It All Started

If I’m being completely honest, I’ve always been someone who prefers giving gifts far more than receiving them. There is something special about watching a loved one’s face light up when they open a present chosen just for them.

Growing up, I was always the designated gift-wrapper in our family. For as long as I can remember, I spent hours carefully picking out presents that felt truly personal and wrapping each one with meticulous care. To me, the outside of a gift is just as important as the inside—the presentation sets the tone for the moment of joy to come.

But as much as I love beautiful things, I’ve always believed a great gift must also be practical. Nothing breaks my heart more than giving (or receiving) something that ends up tucked away in a cupboard, or collecting dust on a shelf, never to be used again! A truly wonderful present should be a blend of elegance, delight, and everyday usefulness.

Why Lilac & Mint Was Born

As life got busier, I noticed how hard it was for people to find gifts that felt both deeply personal and beautifully presented without spending hours searching for individual items. (And don't get me started on finding great gifts for the men in our lives—why does it always feel like they either have everything or want nothing at all?)

I didn’t start Lilac & Mint to build a mega-corporation or become famous. I started it simply because giving has always been an important part of who I am. For me, giving a gift is the absolute best way to express gratitude, show appreciation, or lift someone’s spirits on a quiet Tuesday.

I wanted to take the stress out of gifting while keeping all the heart.

Lilac & Mint is built around small moments of joy, comfort, and relaxation. My background love for skin care, body care, and cozy home accents (you’ll rarely find my home without a scented candle burning!) naturally weaves into the boxes we curate.

Every gift box is designed with a soft, feminine, and slightly indulgent feel—combining everyday comforts with sweet treats and charming keepsakes. We treat every single box as if it were being sent to our own friends or family, packing each one with meticulous attention to detail so it arrives at their front door feeling like a warm, luxurious surprise.
